Festival of Trees Virtual Tour Supports Embassy Fundraising Efforts<\/strong><\/p>\n

FORT WAYNE INDIANA (December 22, 2020) \u2013 The Embassy Theatre concluded the 36th annual Festival of Trees on December 6, one of the region\u2019s most anticipated holiday traditions and the organization\u2019s largest fundraising event. In 2020, COVID-19 capacity restrictions had a significant impact. Attendance was reduced from more than 22,000 to about 4,600, and funds raised were cut in half compared to last year.<\/p>\n

With local board of health guidelines in place and the governor\u2019s request to reduce gathering, the organization expected that it wouldn\u2019t see some of the regular patrons who attend annually, or even some first-time attendees who would naturally come during a non-pandemic year. As a result the organization worked with Upper Valley Film Co. to design and produce a virtual tour to assist with fundraising and conveniently bring the event to residents near and far who were unable to attend in person.<\/p>\n
