So Holsum Bakery in Fort Wayne, a division of Lewis Bakeries, is donating another 2,000 loaves of fresh Holsum Sof-Twist bread to Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana following a similar donation in November.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The intent is to help us keep up,&#8221; said Jane Avery, Community Harvest executive director. &#8220;Holsum Bakery has been affected by the economy just like everyone else but less so than others and they want to help their neighbors in need. This is a truly meaningful way that they can. They already donate a significant amount of bread and bakery items each week and this is a welcome addition. We are so grateful.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Wayne Davidson, President, Holsum Bakery Fort Wayne Division, they are happy to help. &#8220;We wanted to do more aside from the donations we give each week,&#8221; Davidson said. &#8220;We here at Holsum want to reach out and provide good nutritious food to those in our community who are in need.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Community Harvest Food Bank<\/strong><br \/>\nCommunity Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the alleviation of hunger through the full use of donated food and other resources.
