Tax Caps panel discussion"},"content":{"rendered":"ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n<p>Last Thursday, a Property Tax Cap panel discussion was held at the Allen County Public Library.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>There were approximately 25 in attendance, not including media or speakers. \u00c2\u00a0The speakers included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indiana State Representative Jeff Espich<\/li>\n<li>Indiana State Senator David Long<\/li>\n<li>Indiana State Representative Randy Borror<\/li>\n<li>Indiana State Representative\u00c2\u00a0Phyllis Pond<\/li>\n<li>Indiana State Senator Dennis Kruse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The moderator was Ryan Elijah from Indiana News Center and Allen County Councilwoman Paula Hughes fielded questions. \u00c2\u00a0Each legislator gave a brief presentation of their stance and history on the property tax caps and why they felt they should be written into the State Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>I will be presenting video of each Legislator&#8217;s presentation throughout this week. \u00c2\u00a0In the meantime, I want to present Allen County Council President Roy Buskirk&#8217;s comments and questions from the question and answer
