The survey will be conducted beginning December 7, weather permitting.<\/p>\n<p>The survey involves a suburban truck moving very slowly in one lane of traffic towing a 50-pound roller and a 50-foot string of geophones. The truck stops every 5 feet to strike the roller and take measurements when no traffic is going by. There will be several support vehicles on either side of the truck towing the instruments. There will also be signs and traffic control on the designated roads.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The seismic reflection survey creates an image of sediment layers up to 120 feet below the ground surface,&#8221; according to Michael L.
