Individuals within the following priority groups are currently eligible for this vaccine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pregnant women<\/li>\n<li>people who live with or care for infants under 6 months of age<\/li>\n<li>children and young people from 6 months old to 24 years old*<\/li>\n<li>adults age 25 through 64 with chronic health conditions<\/li>\n<li>health care workers and emergency medical services personnel<\/li>\n<li>Seasonal flu vaccine for children 6 months to 18 years of age will also be offered while supplies last.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Children under the age of 10 will need two doses of the H1N1 vaccine, four weeks apart, to be fully protected.<\/p>\n<p>More than 17,600 people have been vaccinated for H1N1 flu since the clinic opened on Oct. 9. Parkview Health is providing space for the clinic at Carew Medical Park, 1818 Carew St. The vaccines are free. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (with notarized documentation).<\/p>\n<p>Anyone experiencing symptoms of influenza should stay home and contact a health care provider.
