Statement from Lutheran Health Network:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Based on the recommendation of the Fort Wayne – Allen County Department of Health, the Fort Wayne hospitals of the Lutheran Health Network have lifted the visitor restriction policies that went into effect Oct. 16 in response to the H1N1 pandemic. Monday’s lifting of the temporary policy applies to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Wayne, The Orthopaedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network, Dupont Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Lutheran Hospital.<\/p>\n

LHN continues to monitor the situation and remains in direct communication with the local health care community to provide consistent and unified messages. We do ask that individuals who are experiencing flu-like symptoms refrain from visiting the hospitals until their condition improves and they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medications.<\/p>\n

I am currently assessing the status of visitor restrictions at LHN facilities Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw and Bluffton Regional Medical Center and will send an update as it becomes available. LHN facility Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru has seen fewer cases of influenza communitywide during the past month and therefore chose not to implement restrictions on visitation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
