H1N1 vaccine offered Thursday at Carew<\/strong>
\nH1N1 vaccine will be offered again Thursday at the Carew Medical Park<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The clinic will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. while supplies last. The vaccine is free. No appointment is necessary. Children under age 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.<\/p>\n

For now, the H1N1 injectable vaccine offered at Carew will be reserved for pregnant women, caregivers of children 6 months and under, and children six months through 18 years of age.<\/p>\n

The H1N1 nasal spray vaccine will also be available for healthy children and young adults (2 years – 24 years) and for people who live with or provide care to infants less than six months of age.<\/p>\n

The seasonal flu vaccine is no longer available.<\/p>\n

More than 8,000 people have been vaccinated for H1N1 flu since the clinic opened on Oct. 9. Parkview Health is providing space for the clinic at Carew Medical Park, a three-story building located at 1818 Carew St.<\/p>\n

Anyone experiencing symptoms of influenza should stay home and contact a health care provider. People can also limit the spread of flu by covering their cough and washing their hands.<\/p>\n
