Health Commissioner Amends March 21 Order to Avoid Confusion with Governor\u2019s Stay-at-Home Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(March 24, 2020) \u2013 To avoid any confusion with the Indiana governor\u2019s stay-at-home requirements, the order issued by the Allen County Health Commissioner earlier this week limiting the size of gatherings was amended Tuesday to expire.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn hopes of protecting the health of the public and slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in the community, I issued an order intended to limit gatherings greater than 10 people in various situations,\u201d said Allen County Health Commissioner Dr. Deborah McMahan. \u201cBecause of the governor\u2019s forward-thinking leadership seeking the same outcome, and in an effort to avoid any confusion on which order to follow, I am amending my order to expire Tuesday at 11:59 p.m.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb issued a stay-at-home order Monday, which also goes into effect Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. and prohibits large gatherings of more than 10 people.<\/p>\n
