Tom Rhoades Announces Run for Indiana State Senate Seat \u2013 District 16<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(January 27, 2020) – Longtime Allen County resident and public servant, Republican Tom Rhoades, officially announced his candidacy for the Indiana State Senate District 16 seat. Rhoades filed the necessary Certificate of Candidacy paperwork earlier today in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

Rhoades, an Allen County resident for over 30 years, brings experience in law enforcement, education, and healthcare to the race.<\/p>\n

\u201cAllen County is a wonderful place to live and work,\u201d said Rhoades. \u201cI have been fortunate to have built a career serving this community and I look forward to continuing that service as the District 16 State Senator representing local voices, values and concerns in Indianapolis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rhoades, who currently serves as the Chief of Police and Corporate Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management for Parkview Health, has nearly 30 years of law enforcement and public safety experience. Prior to his service at Parkview, Rhoades served as captain with the Fort Wayne Police Department, overseeing the creation of the Office of Professional Standards Unit and the Ft. Wayne Police Academy. Rhoades also served as the Public Information Officer for the department. Rhoades was elected to the Board of Trustees for MSD Southwest Allen County Schools in 2014 and currently serves as the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow more than ever we need proven leaders with real-life experiences in our Republican majority at the Indiana General Assembly,\u201d said Rhoades. \u201cAs a husband, father and grandfather, I am committed to making Fort Wayne a place our kids and grandkids will want to call home.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
