Construction Begins on New Group Hospitality Area at Parkview Field<\/strong>
\nLeft-Center Field Section Will Debut in May<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(March 26, 2019) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d As the weather begins to warm for another season of TinCaps baseball, construction at Parkview Field has begun on a new group hospitality seating area. <\/p>\n

The section is located on the concourse in left-center field in between the Xfinity Home Run Porch and the Ivy Tech Lawn Seats. The space will not be open for Opening Day on Thursday, April 4, but more details on the project will be announced at a later date in April as construction nears completion. <\/p>\n

The TinCaps have partnered with Fort Wayne-based Weigand Construction and Elevatus Architecture on the privately-funded project.<\/p>\n

Since Parkview Field opened in 2009, the TinCaps have already added the Tuthill 400 Club in 2013 and The Summit presented by Tuthill in 2016 as other group hospitality areas. The Huntington University Picnic Pavilion, Ortho Northeast Treetops, J. Chapman’s Suite Level Loft presented by French Lick Resort, Ruoff Home Mortgage Concourse Suites, Centerfield Picnic Area, Xfinity Home Run Porch, Suite Level Lounge, and Luxury Suites remain as options for groups of fans at the ballpark. The TinCaps are set to begin their 11th season at Parkview Field on Thursday, April 4 against the Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate) with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. That night’s game will feature Postgame Fireworks, $1 domestic draft beers for a Thirsty Thursday\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 presented by Rudy’s, and a Magnet Schedule Giveaway courtesy of Freschetta. <\/p>\n

Before Opening Day, fans are invited to Parkview Field for a free Open House<\/a> on Saturday, March 30 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) that includes behind-the-scenes tours and 50% off concessions. “Meet the Team Night<\/a>” is another free event on Wednesday, April 3 (5 p.m. start), as players and coaches will sign autographs.<\/p>\n
