Oktoberfest is back at Deer Park Irish Pub!!!<\/strong>
\nThe second annual family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration will be held at the Deer Park Irish Pub (1530 Leesburg Road) on October 5 and 6, 2018.<\/em>

\n(September 10, 2018) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d The Deer Park Irish Pub will transition from green beer and shamrocks and to polka dances and German lager Oktoberfest beers when they host their second-annual family-friendly Oktoberfest on Friday, October 5 (7:00pm to 10:00pm) and Saturday, October 6 (noon to 11:00pm).
\nFriday’s event features Jay Fox and The Jammin’ Germans, the Tanzer Children’s Dance Troupe performing a collection of traditional German dances, as well as a silent and live auction featuring Uncle Heindrich. Guests are asked to bring canned food items, with all auction proceeds going to Miss Virginia’s Food Pantry.
\n“The Deer Park Irish Pub family is committed to providing nutritional food for the hungry in the food desert areas of Ft. Wayne. We are challenging the community to help us meet our goal by bringing canned foods and raising money via our auction at Oktoberfest”, said Deer Park Irish Pub owner, Tony Henry.
\nSaturday afternoon brings together a children’s pretzel-toss and encore performances by the Tanzer Children’s Dance Troupe and Jay Fox and The Jammin’ Germans. Later in the evening, Yuengling\u00e2\u20ac\u201dAmerica’s oldest brewery\u00e2\u20ac\u201dwill host a Stein-hoisting contest, followed by an adult pretzel-toss contest.
\nThe event will have a $5 cover charge and will include a Deer Park signature 0.5 liter beer stein. Children under 18 will be admitted for free. Bratwurst, hot dogs and German potato salad will be available. Parking will be free at USF, located directly across the street from the bar.
