Buskerfest 2018: Bigger & Better than Ever!<\/strong>

\n(June 1, 2018) – BuskerFest, Presented by Lutheran Health Network and your Downtown Improvement District, returns on Saturday, June 30, from 4:00pm – 10:00pm. Downtown’s celebration of the street performer, BuskerFest will feature fantastic local, regional and national acts, free admission and an experience like no other!
\nBuskers are the highlight of BuskerFest with great performers scheduled throughout the event. Add an eclectic mix of random and unplanned performances and you have an amazing day of talent, originality, novelty and creativity from around the region. Look for living statues, chalk artists, aerialists, fire dancers, caricature artists, magicians, jugglers, mimes, painters, musicians, balloon artists and more. The Downtown Improvement District encourages patrons to tip buskers for their efforts.
\n“BuskerFest just gets bigger and better every year!” said Bill Brown, President of the Downtown Improvement District. “The last few years local businesses and organizations have really stepped up in support of our events helping us to program extraordinary entertainment in Downtown Fort Wayne while keeping all our productions free and accessible. This year, with Lutheran Health Network joining us as a presenting level sponsor, we have the opportunity to go the extra mile, even adding a second performance area for smaller shows and exhibitions.”

\nThis year BuskerFest is adding a secondary performance “pitch” (busker performance area) to the landscape for even more wow factor.
\nNew Acts!<\/strong>
\nWe are pleased to announce two new national performers have been booked for 2018 complementing our amazing local and regional talent.
\nHer Majesty’s Secret Circus<\/strong>: British super-Secret Circus agents, Honeymoon & Butterfly, are on a mission. Using their extremely high IQs, plunger arrows, and a huge stealth unicycle, their original comedy and “special” tricks are bound to save the day. The show is action-packed stunt-comedy for all ages.
\nFantastick Patrick<\/strong>: Each show is entirely unique because he uses audience interaction to guide the direction of the performance as opposed to using to same jokes over and over. Thus making for a show that is special to your event. From a ten foot unicycle, to improvised songs on the ukulele, balancing step ladders, and swallowing balloons, we never know what’s going to happen at a Fantastick Patrick show but you can trust that it’s going to be amazing.<\/p>\n
