On Friday, Sept. 18, the American Red Cross will join Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center in its Friday Nites Live summer concert series. \u00c2\u00a0This week’s band is Unlikely Alibi<\/span>. \u00c2\u00a0This is an effort to raise one-million pennies for local disaster relief as part of the “It’s All About the Lincolns” penny campaign running now through Sept. 30. In addition to collecting donations for the fund, trained volunteers will also educate shoppers and concert attendees on disaster preparedness, including the use of trained disaster search and rescue dogs and the organization’s emergency response vehicle.<\/p>\n
