Allen County to Conduct Surplus Property Auction<\/strong>
\nSale to be held Sept. 26 at County Institutional Power Plant<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Allen County government is making plans to auction off surplus equipment\u00c2\u00a0and other property on Saturday, September 26, beginning at 9 a.m.\u00c2\u00a0The auction will be held at Allen County’s Institutional Power Plant at 2116 Carroll Road. Interested\u00c2\u00a0bidders can make a preview inspection of the items to be auctioned on Friday, September\u00c2\u00a025, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on the day of the sale beginning at 8 a.m.<\/p>\n

“In previous years, the County auction has occurred in the spring,” said Robert Bolenbaugh,\u00c2\u00a0County Purchasing Director. “But this year, we decided to wait until autumn so that we would\u00c2\u00a0have enough items to make the auction worth our while.”<\/p>\n

The auction features items that have been taken out of service by county government as well\u00c2\u00a0as property seized or recovered by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. Among the items\u00c2\u00a0will be desks, chairs, file cabinets, personal computers, cameras, shop machinery, power tools,\u00c2\u00a0hand tools, bicycles, mopeds, miscellaneous jewelry and other items. All sales are strictly cash\u00c2\u00a0at the time of the sale and all merchandise must be removed by the end of the sale day.\u00c2\u00a0Funds derived from the sale will be returned to government coffers through the County’s Sale of\u00c2\u00a0County-Owned Property Fund. The auction is being conducted by Harvey Auctioneers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
