Indiana Red Cross opens Volunteer Intake Center in response to Hurricane Matthew<\/strong><\/p>\n

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (October 7, 2016) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d As Hurricane Matthew affects the southeast coast of the United States, the American Red Cross is on the ground helping people who are affected by this lifethreatening storm. So far, 21 Hoosiers have deployed to Florida and South Carolina from Indiana to help, and the Indiana Red Cross is seeking additional volunteers to support the need.<\/p>\n

Those interested in helping support Hurricane Matthew relief efforts can do so in the following ways:<\/p>\n

Volunteer<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Visit the newly opened Volunteer Intake Center in Indianapolis at the Red Cross Regional Headquarters (1510 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202), where you can get trained immediately and be deployed to areas that have been hit hard by Hurricane Matthew. If you do not reside close to Indianapolis, simply call: 317-684-1441, and a member of the deployment team will refer you to your closest volunteer training site.<\/p>\n
