FWCS staff going door-to-door to visit families<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(June 17, 2016) – Fort Wayne Community Schools staff members will be visiting homes throughout the district June 20-24 to tell families about the new online pre-registration and about the new Family & Community Engagement Center.<\/p>\n

This is the fifth year FWCS staff has visited families at their homes during the summer. District staff, as well as school-based staff, visit neighborhoods to connect with families and students while they are out of school.<\/p>\n

For current families, online pre-registration will be available June 20-July 12. Parents will receive a letter for each child enrolled in FWCS with instructions and a secure log-in code to access the new MyFWCS parent portal. Families will still need to attend in-school registration, but if they complete the pre-registration online, they will be able to go through the Rapid Registration line. In-school registration will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 29, and noon-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1. Parents will need to bring a photo ID and two proofs of residence. New families will register at the new Family & Community Engagement Center, 230 East Douglas Avenue.<\/p>\n
