19th Annual IPFW Student Research and Creative Endeavors Symposium Award Winners Announced<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(April 14, 2016) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Student research and creative endeavor was highlighted at the March 30, 2016, symposium on the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. More than 100 undergraduate and graduate students\u00e2\u20ac\u201dmore than at any previous symposium\u00e2\u20ac\u201dpresented their research in 100 posters that were judged by faculty teams.<\/p>\n

Cheryl Truesdell, dean of Helmke Library, announced the prizes. The judging criteria reflects poster content, student presentation, and poster appearance.<\/p>\n

“Not only did we have more student presenters this year, we also had more faculty mentors and judges to work with the students,” Truesdell said. “When asked for comments about the symposium, one student wrote: \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcPresenting research at the symposium helped me get more experience with answering questions about my research and explaining it to people from a variety of backgrounds. I’m hoping this experience will help me be a great candidate as I apply for graduate school.’ The posters will be available soon on Opus (opus.ipfw.edu), IPFW’s research and creative endeavor database.”<\/p>\n
