\nHealth system honored as a national leader in driving employee engagement<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(March 31, 2016) – Parkview Health has been recognized as a 2016 Workplace of the Year by The Advisory Board Company. The annual award recognizes hospitals and health systems nationwide that have outstanding levels of employee engagement.<\/p>\n

Engaged employees, as defined by The Advisory Board Company, are those who exhibit both loyalty and commitment to the organization. These employees are willing to expend discretionary effort, often going above and beyond to help the organization succeed. The award recognizes Parkview’s commitment to creating a best-in-class work environment for its employees.<\/p>\n

“Our coworkers are our most valuable resource, and as an organization we strive to provide a workplace they can be proud of,” said Dena Jacquay, chief human resources officer, Parkview Health. “When our employees are engaged and demonstrating the highest level of teamwork, we can provide the highest level of care to the communities we serve. Engaged employees put the organization in the best position to inspire well-being throughout the region.”<\/p>\n

Parkview Health is the region’s largest employer, with nearly 10,000 physicians, care providers and co-workers. Made up of eight hospitals, two specialty facilities and more than 250 physicians offices and clinics, Parkview provides care to a population of more than 850,000 residents throughout northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio, and southcentral Michigan.<\/p>\n

“Engaging the workforce is arguably more important now than ever before,” said Steven Berkow, Executive Director, Survey Solutions at The Advisory Board Company. “Parkview demonstrated an impressive ability to inspire the highest levels of engagement across the country while maintaining remarkably low levels of disengagement.”<\/p>\n

Parkview is one of 20 organizations nationwide to receive the award.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
