News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:<\/p>\n

House fire, 5500 block of Winter Street<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(January 3, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 5500 block of Winter Street. First units on the scene found light smoke showing from the attached garage and a report of the structure be occupied. As one crew found and extinguished the fire in the garage, the second crew assisted the 2 occupants out of the house. <\/p>\n

The fire was contained to the garage and was determined to be accidental in nature. No injuries were reported by either occupant or the FWFD. The fire was under control in 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

The Fire Department was assisted at the scene by FWPD, TRAA, NCE, AEP and NIPSCO.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
