Photo taken February 16, 2009.\" rel=\"lightbox[signs]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/70717.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/t70717.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d forgotten about this until a recent conversation &#8211; I honestly can&#8217;t remember who with &#8211; reminded me of this.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Pictured above is the Lincoln Financial Group building on Harrison Street. \u00c2\u00a0This was for years, the headquarters of the Lincoln National Life Insurance company. \u00c2\u00a0But since at least February 16, 2009, the lights have been out on one of the iconic downtown signs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a title=\"The General Electric sign as seen from the TreeTops at Parkview Field.
