Prayer on the Square Concludes Unified Prayer for Life Campaign<\/strong>
\nPrayer on the Square Is Sunday, November 1 at 7 p.m. on the Allen County Courthouse Green<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(October 27, 2015) – Unified Prayer for Life and Shepherds United are cosponsoring a peaceful Prayer on the Square event to conclude 40 days of continuous prayer for life at 44 area churches. Prayer on the Square is Sunday, Nov. 1 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen County Courthouse Green. Local clergy will lead participants in reflections and prayers for the unborn and their mothers who are victims of abortion.<\/p>\n

The Unified Prayer for Life campaign has been running simultaneous to the National 40 Days for Life campaign since Sept. 23. Organized by Allen County Right to Life, the campaign sought to have 12 hours of unbroken prayer each day by participants in their respective churches throughout the county. Forty-four area churches participated in the inaugural Unified Prayer for Life campaign.<\/p>\n

Allen County Right to Life Operations Director Abigail Eschelbach said, “Even though Allen County no longer has an active abortion facility, we still have local mothers ending their pregnancies by abortion. Last year, more than 300 mothers sought abortions in other Indiana cities. We know our work to promote life, save babies and assist their mothers continues. We believe prayer is the key component in the fight for life. We’re pleased by the inaugural Unified Prayer for Life campaign and we thank area churches, pastors and congregants for making a difference in the cause of life. We invite all people of faith to join us this Sunday as we publicly pray for an end to abortion.”<\/p>\n

Allen County Right to Life, based in Fort Wayne, Ind., operates out of a common concern for the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.<\/p>\n

Shepherds United is a coalition of Trinitarian Christian pastors, priests and ministers working together to reclaim humanity’s inherent worth by defending innocent human life, traditional marriage and religious liberty.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
