    On Friday, 10\/23\/15, at 12:46 a.m., the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 900 block of East Wayne Street on a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located an SUV parked in the street, occupied by a male and female. Both people were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and both were pronounced deceased by medics on the scene.<\/p>\n

    Initial information indicates a nearby resident heard five or six gunshots, and called police. At this time, there is no suspect information. No weapons were located, but police did locate several shell casings. Both occupants were in the front seats. No one else was present when officers arrived.<\/p>\n

    At this time we do not know the ages of either victim, or what type of relationship they had. It is also too early to tell if this incident has any relation to previous shootings, or if it is isolated. No motive has been identified.<\/p>\n

    The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the identities, as well as causes and manners of death.<\/p>\n

    Detectives are speaking with any witnesses, and crime scene units are searching for and collecting evidence. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact police. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s Office, and Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
