Carville’s reputation for leading overlooked campaigns to victory began in 1986, culminating with William Jefferson Clinton’s election in 1992. Recently, Carville has turned his expertise to global politics, focusing on campaigns around the world.<\/p>\n
Carville is a best-selling author, actor, producer, talk show host, and restaurateur. His many publications include All’s Fair: Love, War, and Running for President (co-written with Matalin) and a New York Times bestseller, It’s the Middle Class, Stupid! He is a columnist for The Hill and appears regularly on news networks worldwide.<\/p>\n
Matalin is a celebrated conservative political voice. She worked under President Ronald Reagan and served as George H.W. Bush’s campaign director, assistant to George W. Bush, and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney.<\/p>\n
Matalin is a frequent commentator on news networks ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News Network. She hosted the popular Mary Matalin Show on CBS Talk Radio Network, and now co-hosts the nationally syndicated radio program Both Sides Now. She has authored many publications, including the bestselling Letters to My Daughter.<\/p>\n
Together, Carville and Matalin bring 60+ years of political experience to the Omnibus Lecture Series.<\/p>\n

About the Omnibus Lecture Series<\/strong>
\nThe Omnibus Lecture Series is dedicated to presenting diverse ideas through respected speakers to northeast Indiana. The Omnibus Lecture Series has been supported by the English Bonter Mitchell Foundation since 1995 and is also supported by the Dr. Louis and Anne B. Schneider Foundation. The 2015-16 season media sponsors are WANE-TV NewsChannel 15, 89.1 WBOI NPR news and diverse music, and KPC Media.<\/p>\nFree tickets are required for all Omnibus Lectures. Tickets will be available three weeks prior to each event and may be obtained:<\/p>\n
\n- IN PERSON at the Larson Ticket Office in the Gates Athletics Center, 12:30-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday<\/li>\n
- ONLINE through the box office website (with a $1 convenience fee to cover order processing costs)<\/li>\n
- DAY OF EVENT in the Rhinehart Music Center one hour before the lecture (if seats are still available)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Each lecture takes place in The John and Ruth Rhinehart Music Center’s 1,600-seat Auer Performance Hall on the IPFW campus. Doors open one hour before the each lecture. Campus parking is free and convenient. The 1,000-space Parking Garage 3 is located in the Fine Arts Plaza to serve Omnibus audiences. Patrons should arrive early to allow plenty of time for traffic and parking, as the series and other events on campus may draw large crowds.<\/p>\n
