(August 28, 2015) – The State Ballet Theatre of Russia presents Romeo and Juliet, a Full-Length Ballet in Three Acts, at the Embassy on Jan. 20, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. With music by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography by Michael Lavrovsky, this legendary love story is based on William Shakespeare’s timeless tale of tragic love.<\/p>\n

Founded by legendary dancer and former principal dancer of The Bolshoi Theatre Ballet, Maya Plisetskaya, the State Ballet Theatre of Russia — now under the direction of award-winning dancer and Moiseyev Dance Company soloist Nikolay Anokhin — presents 55 of Russia’s brightest ballet stars to bring this celebration of true love onto the Embassy stage and into our hearts.<\/p>\n
