Fatal Shooting Investigation, 6000 block of Salisbury Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n

Victim<\/strong>: Adult Male, deceased<\/p>\n

Details<\/strong>: <\/p>\n

On Sunday, 08\/30\/2015, at approximately 10:20 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 6000 block of Salisbury Drive on a report of an unresponsive person covered in blood, inside of a vehicle. Officers arrived and found an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Medics pronounced the male deceased on the scene.<\/p>\n

Preliminary information indicates the 911 caller saw the victim from a distance, and called 911 for help. At this time, it is unknown why this person was shot, or how long the victim has been here. There are currently no suspects, and no weapons were located. The victim’s identity has not been confirmed, so the relationship to vehicle is yet to be determined. <\/p>\n

Crime scene personnel are scouring the area for evidence. Detectives are speaking with all of the residents, trying to find possible witnesses. <\/p>\n

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at (260) 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-7867.<\/p>\n

The identity, and cause and manner of death will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.<\/p>\n

This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. <\/p>\n
