See The Smithsonian Institution’s “The Evolving Universe” on display at Science Central before it’s too late <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(August 14, 2015) – Now is your last chance to see the Smithsonian Institution’s “The Evolving Universe” at Science Central. On display for only a few more weeks, the touring exhibition closes on September 13.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t seen the exhibition, or just want to see it again, be sure to plan your visit soon. Science Central’s annual fall shutdown is scheduled to begin on August 31 and will last through September 11. The center will, however, be open during the weekends of September 5-6 and 12-13.<\/p>\n

“The Evolving Universe” takes visitors on a journey through space and time by presenting them with a collection of the deep space imagery taken by high powered terrestrial and orbiting telescopes. These full color, high resolution photographs display the awe-inspiring beauty of the cosmos like never before. Capturing stars at various stages of their life cycles, “The Evolving Universe” tells the story of how the galaxies are born, mature and eventually die.<\/p>\n

Throughout this cosmic journey, visitors also have the opportunity to learn about research methods and technologies used to create this one of a kind exhibition.<\/p>\n

“The Evolving Universe” is organized by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and is circulated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). The original exhibition was made possible by The Windland Smith Rice Nature’s Best Photography Fund.<\/p>\n
