{"id":543,"date":"2008-04-20T14:04:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-20T18:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/?p=543"},"modified":"2020-12-24T14:26:40","modified_gmt":"2020-12-24T19:26:40","slug":"redevelopment-commission-meeting-4212008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2008\/04\/20\/redevelopment-commission-meeting-4212008\/","title":{"rendered":"Redevelopment Commission meeting 4\/21\/2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The agenda for tomorrow&#8217;s Redevelopment Commission meeting has been posted.\u00c2\u00a0 It looks like the painting contract, contract for the playing field and the first change order of the Harrison Square project are to be awarded.<\/p>\n<p>The painting contract is going to be awarded to Thomarios.\u00c2\u00a0 The contract was put on hold after concerns were raised about the company&#8217;s safety performance.\u00c2\u00a0 Previous AFW posts: <a title=\"Permanent Link to Harrison Square Paint Bid Concerns\" rel=\"bookmark\" href=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2008\/03\/15\/painting-bids-for-harrison-square\/\">Harrison Square Paint Bid Concerns<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and <a title=\"Permanent Link to Harrison Square Painting Contract Deferred\" href=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2008\/03\/17\/harrison-square-painting-contract-deferred\/\">Harrison Square Painting Contract Deferred<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also on the agenda is a resolution approving the transfer of the parking lot on the Northeast corner of the Clinton and Superior Street intersection.\u00c2\u00a0 Club Soda sits on the eastern corner of this lot.\u00c2\u00a0 The city has looked at this lot for years as having the potential for\u00c2\u00a0mixed-use development.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0In an article in Thursday&#8217;s <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.journalgazette.net\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20080417\/LOCAL\/804170325\">Journal Gazette<\/span>, Club Soda raised parking concerns\u00c2\u00a0if any loss of the parking lot occurs:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At least one restaurant is looking to grow in the area, as Club Soda has begun construction on another patio area outside its restaurant. Noelle Reith, restaurant owner, said the 30-by-60-foot patio is expected to be completed in about five weeks and will be about the size of the enclosed four-seasons room recently built.<\/p>\n<p>Reith said it will include landscaping so people don&#8217;t have to look at a parking lot while dining.
