Medics and fire personnel declared the cyclist dead on the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, the only occupant of the vehicle was uninjured in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators believe based upon several witness accounts that the cyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on McKinnie Avenue when it impacted broadside with the pickup truck which was making a left hand turn to go south on McMillen Park Drive.<\/p>\n<p>McKinnie Avenue was shut down in both directions during the investigation, reopening at approximately 5:00 p.m. The identity of the victim will be released by the Allen Coroner&#8217;s office when appropriate to do so.<\/p>\n<p>This investigation is being conducted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner&#8217;s office and the Allen County Prosecutor&#8217;s office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Related Images:<\/h3><div class=\"ngg-related-gallery\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/gallery\/bc\/68975.jpg\"\n\t\t\ttitle=\"Clean up is progressing at the Broadway Auto &amp;amp; Truck Repair shop after a fire.
