Critical Injury Investigation, 1400 block of Greene Street<\/strong><\/p>\n

Date\/Time of Incident<\/strong>:\t07-20-2015 1:35 AM<\/p>\n

Location of Incident<\/strong>: 1400 block of Greene Street<\/p>\n

Victim<\/strong>: Male Adult<\/p>\n

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of the 1400 block of Greene Street in reference to a possible attempted rape investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they observed a male adult laying on the ground unresponsive. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital in critical condition. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.<\/p>\n

Investigators on the scene advised that a female was outside of an apartment building located in the 1400 block of Greene Street when she was approached by a male. The female began yelling for help as individuals came to assist her. It is believed that several males battered the male victim. The males that assisted the female left the scene prior to officers arrival. There have been no arrest made in reference to the incident. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department.<\/p>\n

This incident remains under investigation remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
