A recent comment, for some reason, made me angry.<\/p>\n

The commenter, who confused a comment on a blog with an “e-mail”, complained because I didn’t post a photograph of an interesting moment at the recent BBQ Ribfest.<\/p>\n

I work extremely hard on this blog. \u00c2\u00a0I have spent a lot of time building this blog into something people can turn to and find out what’s going on in our downtown. \u00c2\u00a0Most of this work is \u00c2\u00a0uncompensated which I do because I enjoy it. \u00c2\u00a0Comments like this one, however, really make my blood boil.<\/p>\n

I would like to point out that I do not have all the time in the world to hang around festivals and other events and capture every last interesting moment. I have to make a living; I have limited time and also a life outside blogging which means I do not hang out 24\/7 at such things. If you’re so disappointed, where’s your blog? This would be a good opportunity for you to start one.<\/p>\n

Think about this – for every 1 hour I spend at such an event, it means I spend 2-3 hours pulling photographs together, writing posts, uploading and the other items to get the finished product you see. I cannot be all things to all people and provide you with everything you think should be featured.<\/p>\n

I don’t mean to be confrontational here, but come on. I put am immense amount of time into this blog – which means I cover that which I find interesting and have the time to do. \u00c2\u00a0 If I can’t spend 24\/7 at a festival and this disappoints you, then look for another blog – and frankly good luck with finding another Fort Wayne blog that covers the variety and depth of items I do.<\/p>\n
