Dupont Again Named One of the Nation’s 100 Top Hospitals<\/strong>
\nEarns spot on prestigious list for second time in four years<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(March 4, 2015) – Dupont Hospital was this week named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals\u00c2\u00ae by Truven Health Analytics,TM a leading provider of data-driven analytics and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare.<\/p>\n

Conducted annually since 1993, the 100 Top Hospitals study identifies hospitals and leadership teams that provide the highest level of value to their communities, based on a national balanced scorecard. The 100 Top Hospitals balanced scorecard measures overall organizational performance across 11 key analytic measures including patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability. This is the second time Dupont has been recognized with this honor. It last achieved the recognition in 2012.<\/p>\n

“For a hospital to achieve this designation, it must demonstrate excellence across multiple areas over the course of two years,” said Chad Towner, chief executive officer, Dupont Hospital. “To be recognized the second time in four years as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the country says a great deal about the ongoing commitment of our team members to deliver the highest level of care to individuals and families who consider Dupont their community hospital. We know that kind of trust has to be earned over time and we have every intention of continuing to exceed the expectations of our patients and guests.”<\/p>\n

To conduct the 100 Top Hospitals study, Truven Health researchers evaluated close to 3,000 short-term, acute-care, nonfederal hospitals. Risk-adjusted methodologies were used to analyze public information \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Medicare cost reports, Medicare Provider Analysis and Review data, and core measures and patient satisfaction data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospital Compare reports. Hospitals do not apply, and winners do not pay to market this honor.<\/p>\n

The winning hospitals were announced in Monday’s edition of Modern Healthcare magazine.<\/p>\n
