The idea for Erin&#8217;s House was created when a 5-year old Fort Wayne girl named Erin Farragh died unexpectedly in 1989; the subsequent grief her surviving brother and sister experienced inspired the adults in their lives to take this idea and grow it into what it is today. To date, the organization has served more than 17,000 individuals throughout northeast Indiana, and it continues to provide support services for children, teens and their families who have suffered the death of a loved one. As an industry center for excellence, Erin&#8217;s House is continually reviewing its programs and services to ensure they are effective for children, teens and their families.
