November 9-15 is celebrated as National Nurse Practitioner week.<\/p>\n<p>Ten years is the maximum accreditation that can be earned by a graduate nursing program. The accrediting agency noted that the program met all accreditation standards with no concerns with respect to any accreditation criteria. USF&#8217;s MSN program has been accredited since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Saint Francis has been preparing Family Nurse Practitioners since 1998. Assistant Professor and MSN Director Dr. Wendy Clark led the accreditation process and reports that USF graduates have consistently earned nearly perfect pass rates for national certification. &#8220;USF graduates are working in numerous primary care settings and in medically underserved areas across our region. Ninety-two students are currently enrolled and 32 will graduate in May 2015,&#8221; stated Clark.<\/p>\n<p>National Nurse Practitioner Week, Nov. 9-15, 2014, is a time to celebrate these exceptional health care providers. Nurse practitioners are informed, in touch and involved, making them the health care providers of choice for millions and a solution to the primary care crisis in America.<\/p>\n<p>The United States has more than 192,000 nurse practitioners (NPs) who provide high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive, patient-centered care. More than 916 million visits are made to NPs annually. These professionals are licensed, expert clinicians with advanced education and extensive clinical preparation who provide primary, acute and specialty health care services.
