In response to many requests, the Conservatory now offers a Grandparent Membership which allows admission for two adults in a household and all their grandchildren age 17 and younger. Conservatory memberships are valid for a year from the date of purchase. Membership allows free admission anytime during public hours, including special events. In addition, members receive a 10% discount in the Conservatory Gift Shop and Sales Garden and reciprocal benefits at 280 other gardens around the country. Individual membership $35; Family or Grandparent membership $50. Other categories are available. You may also consider our Add-a-Guest option to upgrade your basic membership: for $15 you can bring any other person with you whenever you visit. She graduated in 1981 from Indiana University with a degree in graphic arts and worked as an art director, advertising artist and illustrator for over 35 years. She has won many awards in local and regional art shows. Karen was the founder and president of the Fort Wayne ArtSource. She is a mentoring artist in the Fort Wayne community. Using the landscape architect&#8217;s design tools of repetition and form, &#8220;Rhythm and Flow&#8221; features swaths of color formed of chrysanthemum beds, punctuated by geometric topiary sculptures, to provide an exciting eye-scape for the visitor. A &#8220;green wall&#8221; planting draws living texture right up the vertical entrance surfaces. Blue-grey grasses and succulent plants contrast with the bright hues and define the surfaces of sculptural spheres and cubes. The suspended canopy offers a frame for photography and weddings throughout the fall. This jubilant interpretation of Art Deco style and Roaring \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc20s chic offers visitors a variety of backdrops for holiday enjoyment and family pictures. The Showcase includes a paved plaza under a twinkling, lighted canopy where guests may relax to the lively sounds of jazz reminiscent of the period. The centerpiece, a 6-foot tall Art Deco reindeer, stands atop a platform surrounded by vivid poinsettias in the shades of wine, red, and pink and holiday d\u00c3\u00a9cor in the shimmering tones of silver, gold, and champagne. Lighted evergreens help to shape a showcase for the period sleigh that once belonged to Helene Foellinger. <\/p>\n<p>Additional cut Christmas trees of spruce and pine, the largest of which have been donated by Fort Wayne citizens, will decorate the borders and beds around the perimeter of the Showcase Garden.
