Turnstone wheelchair basketball team tries out Google Glass from Longe Optical<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
(August 20, 2014) – Turnstone and Longe Optical tried out the Google Glass on some of our Bandit Wheelchair Basketball players.<\/p>\n
On August 21st, members of the Turnstone Bandits Wheelchair basketball team demoed the Google Glass for Longe Optical in a scrimmage match.<\/p>\n
This showed how the combination of the high-definition digital lenses (that are offered on all Longe Optical glasses) and the Google Glass unit, that is able to provide players with a unique basketball experience and, as it is recorded the activities are from a first-person view, it will give others a unique perspective on the skill and expertise required in wheelchair basketball.<\/p>\n
This is a great opportunity to showcase our athletes as well as great technology that will be useful in the future for many athletes especially those working on an elite level of training in hopes to become Paralympic athletes.<\/p>\n
