And the TinCaps&#8217; hat is a hit. <\/p>\n<p>Two million fans voted online over the last three weeks to determine the most popular caps in Minor League Baseball. Every MiLB team was represented, and out of 160 clubs, Fort Wayne&#8217;s all-dark green, apple-logoed hat finished eighth in the &#8220;Clash of the Caps&#8221; competition \u00e2\u20ac\u201d fourth among Class-A clubs. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;d like to thank all of our fans for their tremendous support,&#8221; TinCaps President Mike Nutter said. &#8220;Fort Wayne fans are the best in Minor League Baseball. This recognition is more evidence that the TinCaps have passionate followers not just in the Fort Wayne area, but all over the place.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The TinCaps received 16,218 votes in total. Meanwhile, the &#8220;Clash of the Caps&#8221; winner also comes from the San Diego Padres family. That would be the first-year Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas, who won with 19,010 votes. <\/p>\n<p>This honor for the TinCaps comes on the heels of finishing in Minor League Baseball&#8217;s Top 25 for Merchandise Sales for a fifth consecutive season in 2013.
