The Fort Wayne Fire Department Promoted Two<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(April 10, 2014) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department will promoted two firefighters at a promotional ceremony held in the Council’s Chamber in Citizens Square last Friday. The individual firefighter’s names, ranks and brief biographies are below.<\/p>\n

JEREMY M. SEXTON<\/strong>
\nHired – 04\/30\/1999
\nPromoted to Lieutenant – 03\/06\/2010
\nLieutenant to Captain – 04\/11\/2014<\/p>\n

Lieutenant Jeremy Sexton is nearly a 15 year veteran of the Fort Wayne Fire Department. During his time on
\nthe department, Jeremy has served as a Lieutenant for 4 years. Lt. Sexton has received various certificates for
\ntrainings. Jeremy received a perfect attendance letter for 2008, 2011, and 2013.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant Sexton has successfully completed the Captain Promotional Process. Under the direction of a
\nBattalion Chief, a Captain commands and participates in all fire combat activities and rescue operations of his
\nassigned crew. While maintaining morale, discipline and good performance of its members, a Captain is
\nresponsible for overseeing all activities and maintenance of a fire station.<\/p>\n

MARC SCHROEDER<\/strong>
\nHired – 10\/11\/1996
\nPromoted to Lieutenant – 12\/29\/2002
\nPromoted to Fire Investigator – 09\/12\/2004
\nObtained the rank of Captain – 12\/25\/2005
\nCaptain to District Chief Fire Investigation – 04\/11\/14<\/p>\n

Captain Marc Schroeder is a 18.5 year veteran of the Fort Wayne Fire Department. During his time on the
\ndepartment, Marc has served as an Investigator for nearly 10 years and was a Lieutenant for 2 years. Captain
\nSchroeder has received various certificates for trainings. Marc received a perfect attendance letter for 2007,
\n2010, 2011and 2013.<\/p>\n

Working under the direction of the Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention, the District Chief- Fire Investigation
\nsupervises and coordinates all the activities relating to the Fire Investigation Division.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
