A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE REGION WITH COLDER AIR AND VERY WINDY CONDITIONS BEHIND THE FRONT. A PERIOD OF SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING WITH GUSTS INTO THE 45 TO POSSIBLY 50 MPH RANGE. WINDY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL INTO TONIGHT&#8230;BUT DIMINISH SOMEWHAT.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT \/7 PM CDT\/ THIS EVENING&#8230;<\/p>\n<p> * WINDS&#8230;SOUTHWEST 25 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. ISOLATED GUSTS TO 50 MPH POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING.<\/p>\n<p> * IMPACTS&#8230;TRAVEL ON MOST ROADWAYS WILL BECOME DIFFICULT AT TIMES&#8230;ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. LOOSE OBJECTS MAY BE BLOWN AROUND AND ONTO STREETS. LARGE LIMBS MAY FALL AND ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE.<\/p>\n<p>PRECAUTIONARY\/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 MPH&#8230;OR GUSTS OVER 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT&#8230;ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
