The restriction to one westbound lane is expected to last through tonight and the contractor is expecting to restore one lane in each direction at that time.<\/p>\n<p>A temporary detour for eastbound traffic will use Freeman Street to Taylor Street to Broadway and back to Jefferson.<\/p>\n<p>Because this winter&#8217;s extreme weather created many potholes on Jefferson at the viaduct it was decided that the best repair would be a complete concrete reconstruction of a 250 foot section of Jefferson. Due to extreme cold nighttime temperatures and the amount of time needed to cure the concrete, the construction work is now expected to continue into next week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Map of temporary Jefferson Boulevard traffic detour.
