Route cycles result in plow trucks treating lanes approximately every 2 hours. But continuous snowfall and strong winds, especially in the rural, open areas, make clearing pavement especially challenging. Alternating 12-hour shifts of plow drivers will continue as long as is necessary, and resources will be adjusted as needed to keep highways open and as safe as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists should expect difficult driving conditions, and should avoid unnecessary travel.
