Meyers Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new artist rendering of the Park at Harrison Square has been revealed.\u00c2\u00a0 The park will probably be named Meyer Park in honor of former Fort Wayne Mayor Robert E. Meyers, whose estate has provided a $300,000 gift for the park.\u00c2\u00a0 The design must be approved by t<span>he Fort Wayne Board of Park Commissioners on Thursday at their meeting.\u00c2\u00a0 This information from Ben Lanka&#8217;s Harrison2 webblog.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a rel=\"lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/meyer_park.jpg\" title=\"Meyers Park at Harrison Square\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/meyer_park1.jpg\" alt=\"Meyers Park at Harrison Square\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The only comment I&#8217;ll make at this point is that I hope some room for flower beds is included in the design.\u00c2\u00a0 The flower displays at our local parks are outstanding and this would be the perfect place to showplace
