Kroger and Scott’s team with American Red Cross to Thank Blood Donors<\/strong>
\nGreat Turkey Escape Blood Drive to be held Nov. 25 – 30<\/em><\/p>\n

(November 12, 2013) – What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday? If you or someone you love has ever needed blood products, perhaps you’re thankful for an adequate blood supply. In our area, 500 blood donations are needed each day to ensure patients receive the blood they need.<\/p>\n

The American Red Cross relies on the generosity of eligible blood donors to maintain a steady and consistent blood supply for local patients. While holiday plans take many regular blood donors out of town and off of their normal schedule, the Red Cross encourages infrequent or first-time blood donors to give the gift of life this Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

Kroger and Scott’s will sponsor the Great Turkey Escape Blood Drive at Red Cross donor centers in Fort Wayne and Goshen, Nov. 25 – 30. Come to donate blood or platelets and be entered to win a $50 Kroger and Scott’s gift card and a certificate for a 10-14 pound turkey. A winner will be drawn each day of the blood drive.<\/p>\n
