Hotel Fitness Championship hosting free Junior Golf Exhibition<\/strong>
\nFamilies can watch PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour professionals put on an exhibition on Aug. 27<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(Aug. 21, 2013) – The Hotel Fitness Championship, played Aug. 26-Sept. 1 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, will conduct a Junior Golf Exhibition at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the Club, Western Golf Association officials have announced.<\/p>\n

Families are encouraged to come out to watch PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour professionals put on an exhibition along with select junior golfer guests at the Golf Academy, located at the north side of the driving range. Johnny the Tincaps mascot will make a special appearance, and there will also be opportunities for player autographs. Hamburgers, hotdogs and refreshments will be available for juniors.<\/p>\n

“The Hotel Fitness Championship is a fun event for the entire family, and we encourage parents to bring their kids out to the tournament as well as the Junior Golf Exhibition,” said Duke Butler IV, tournament director, on behalf of the WGA. “Juniors ages 16 and under are admitted free to the tournament when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Adult tickets for Tuesday are $10 online and $15 at the gate.”<\/p>\n

The Hotel Fitness Championship is one of four newly created Web.com Tour Finals events for 2013 that will determine the 50 players who earn cards for the 2013-14 PGA TOUR season under the TOUR’s enhanced qualifying system.<\/p>\n

Players who are eligible for the Hotel Fitness Championship include the top-75 money winners on the Web.com Tour at the conclusion of the Regular Season; players who finish 126-200 on the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup points list at the end of the TOUR’s Regular Season; and, any non-members who earn enough points to place them among 126-200 on the FedExCup points list at the end of the Regular Season.<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the 2013 Hotel Fitness Championship will benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, which awards full tuition and housing college scholarships to caddies from modest means, and Fort Wayne charities.<\/p>\n
