News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:<\/p>\n

Barricaded Subject<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Date<\/strong>: Sunday, August 11, 2013<\/p>\n

Time<\/strong>: 11:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Location<\/strong>: 1900 Block Bayview Drive<\/p>\n

Subject<\/strong>: Adult Male 27<\/p>\n

Details<\/strong>: At approximately 11:15 p.m. Fort Wayne Police were called to the 1900 block of Bayview Drive in reference to a suicidal subject. <\/p>\n

On arrival officers made contact with the male who refused to exit his apartment. After several attempts failed a decision was made to deploy the department’s Crisis Intervention Team as well as our Emergency Services Team. <\/p>\n

Once on scene officers with the Crisis Intervention Team made phone contact with the subject and at approximately 2:20 a.m. were successful at ending the standoff. The subject exited his apartment and surrendered to members of the Emergency Services Team. He was transported to a local hospital where he will undergo a psychological evaluation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
