The Public Works department will be working on streets throughout the community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Once again we are improving several sections of some of our major streets such as Stellhorn, Taylor, Tillman, Wayne Trace and Covington. But the majority of our projects will be in the heart of neighborhoods, streets like Devonshire, Margret and Cherokee,&#8221; said Bob Kennedy, Director of Public Works.<\/p>\n<p>Residents can keep up with street closings and lane restrictions during the construction season by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityoffortwayne.org\/publicworks\/traffic-engineering\/street-closings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.cityoffortwayne.org\/publicworks\/traffic-engineering\/street-closings.html<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The city is investing $4.8 million dollars in streets with an additional 10 million expected from Federal funds.<\/p>\n<p>In nearly all cases the construction and paving projects involve local companies.
