Inmate Attempts to Escape after Court Hearing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Investigation Details<\/strong>: <\/p>\n

(May 13, 2013) – On May 13, 2013 at approximately 9:30 am Austin R. Otolski (M\/W\/22) from Fort Wayne appeared in the Allen Superior Court in front of Magistrate Keirns. Austin was remanded into custody by magistrate Keirns. An Allen County Police Officer then handcuffed Austin and led him out of the courtroom. As they were waiting to get on to the elevator the suspect turned and started to run down the court hallway. The officer instructed the suspect to stop running but he ignored the commands. The officer then deployed his Taser striking the suspect. The suspect fell to the floor and was again taken into custody without further incident. Austin was charged with escape a class C felony. Austin remains in the Allen County Jail without bond.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
