Ft. Wayne Farmers Market to Extend Hours and Cooking Demo<\/strong>
\nMay 4th Set For Next Market Day at Parkview Field<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

(May 1, 2013) – Ft. Wayne’s Farmers Market (FWFM) is extending its hours for the May 4th and May 18th market days. “So many of our customers have asked for extended hours since our very first market in October 2012,” said Leigh Rowan, Market Coordinator. “With Parkview Field’s assistance as well as expected great spring weather, we are pleased to be able to stay open until 1 pm.”<\/p>\n

FWFM will be featuring a cooking demonstration by Parkview Health’s Chef Liz Matthews. Chef Matthews will be cooking up several healthy breakfast ideas emphasizing fiber\/whole intact grains, creative and healthy protein choices and more. Representatives from Parkview LiVe will emphasize the benefits of eating breakfast (healthier bodies, better performance in morning\/alertness, etc.) and will provide the newest information on benefits of protein at breakfast.
\nClose to 60 vendors will again be in attendance at the May market, some located within the Lincoln Financial Event Center and some along the concourse. FWFM is proud to offer organic produce and food as well as several selections for those with special dietary needs or restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, paleo, sugar-free and gluten-free. A list of vendors is attached.<\/p>\n

Parking is available in the attached parking garage as well as plenty of free parking on the street and in the Parkview Field surface parking lots.<\/p>\n

When visiting FWFM and individual vendors, be sure to check in on foursquare for deals and specials!<\/p>\n
