A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE SHAPE ACROSS THE NORTHERN ROCKIES THIS MORNING AND WILL APPROACH THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY EARLY TUESDAY. SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM WEST TO EAST TUESDAY MORNING AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH LATE TUESDAY EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING IN INTENSITY LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. A PERIOD OF A MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET IS ALSO POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY MORNING ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF ROUTE 30. THIS STORM IS STILL IN A DEVELOPING STAGE…AND SOME UNCERTAINTY REMAINS AS TO THE EXACT TRACK. * TIMING…LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AFTER SUNRISE TUESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL PICK UP IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY DURING THE MID TO LATE MORNING HOURS TUESDAY.
