He was known as a champion of downtown and city neighborhoods and helped create the City Light lease fund. He died in 2006 at age 73.<\/p>\n<p>Parks Director Al Moll said Lebamoff helped find money to rebuild the deteriorating Reservoir Park in the mid-1970s and transferred the property from City Utilities to the parks department.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;] The family has pledged $100,000 to create an endowment that would help pay for ongoing maintenance at the park.<\/p>\n<p>The family hopes to have about $25,000 raised by the spring when the parks department will rededicate the park; the rest will be funded over the next several years, Moll said.<\/p>\n<p>Renaming a park is rare. A department policy allows for naming a park in honor of a person if that person donated land, donated money to a major project, or played a significant role in the community or parks, Moll said.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan Lebamoff met two of those criteria, he said.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;] The board did not take action on a proposed alcohol policy for Robert E. Meyers Park outside Parkview Field because board members are waiting for the board&#8217;s attorney to review the policy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Related Images:<\/h3><div
