Ft. Wayne Farmers Market Welcomes in the New Year<\/strong>
\nJanuary 5th Set For Next Market Day at Parkview Field<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

December’s market welcomed a record number of shoppers and market enthusiasts. Over 1,200 people visited the market, shopped, met Santa and sampled products. “Even with the fog and questionable weather early in the day, our most recent market day surpassed our expectations. We had over 1,200 visitors in 4 hours.” said Market Coordinator Leigh Rowan. “Our vendors are eager and ready to greet the New Year, our loyal customers and first time visitors with an amazing array of products.”<\/p>\n

January’s market will have over 40 vendors. Some new vendors to the FWFM include Blue Lion Coffee, William Hill Woodworking, Threaded City and Sweet Cravings. These vendors join FWFM and round out the incredible selection of foods, farm products, natural products and hand-crafted items. FWFM is proud to offer organic produce and food as well as several selections for those with special dietary needs or restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free. A list of vendors is attached.<\/p>\n

The organization chosen to receive products for January’s market is The Kelley House. The Kelley House supports the Allen County Community Corrections’ core mission to ensure public safety by applying appropriate interventions and treatments to assist in the recovery process of dual-diagnosed offenders sentenced to community supervision. Kelley House uses the modified therapeutic community model to provide a supportive environment dedicated to introducing quality mental health services; fostering personal growth; promoting a better understanding of the interrelationship between mental illness, substance abuse and criminal behavior, and encouraging a positive transition from treatment back to the community.<\/p>\n

Parking is available in the attached parking garage as well as plenty of free parking on the street and in the Parkview Field surface parking lots.<\/p>\n

When visiting FWFM and individual vendors, be sure to check in on foursquare for deals and specials!<\/p>\n
